How will a tribute fund support Woodgreen?
By setting up a tribute fund to support Woodgreen, you are helping thousands of sick, injured and unwanted pets. We care for over 5,000 homeless pets each year, and your tribute fund will help to ensure that they get the food, care and medical treatment needed, but most of all, your tribute fund will help them to give them a second chance at finding them loving homes.
How do I create a tribute fund site?
It is very easy to create a tribute fund. Registering only takes a couple of minutes, and you will need a valid email address and UK address to get started. Once you are logged in, you can enter the name of your beloved pet or person who you want to remember, add photographs and videos, and write anything you would like.
Can I change my page?
Absolutely, just log in and you can use the admin area to change:
- The main message
- Journal entries
- Photographs and videos
- Your password or email address
- You can also email more friends and family at any time.
How can I share the fund with friends and family members?
When you are creating a tribute fund you can add the email addresses of friends and family members that you'd like to be notified and they will receive an email about the page. You can also share your tribute fund on Facebook or Twitter too by clicking on the social media buttons within the site.
Can I add offline donations to my fund?
Yes. Please email inmemory@woodgreen.org.uk or call 0300 303 9333 with the amount of your offline donation or collection, and the message you would like to appear with it and we will add it onto the fund for you.
Where can I get envelopes for a collection at a funeral?
You can order collection envelopes directly from inmemory@woodgreen.org.uk or you can us on 0300 303 9333.
Can I fundraise for an event on my tribute fund?
Once your fund has been set up, you will be able to create individual events pages by clicking on the 'Take part in an event for this tribute fund' button. This could be doing a dog-walking event, taking part in a bake sale or collecting donations in lieu of wedding gifts. Whatever it is, all of the money raised from the event will go towards your main tribute fund (and each new event can have its own page).
It is a great way for friends and family to support your tribute fund by setting up their own event pages linked to your fund and having a lot of fun along the way. You can set up as many events pages as you like, and all of them will be raising money towards your main fund. This also helps us give you the right support for your fundraising.
How do the donations from the website get to Woodgreen?
Woodgreen has partnered with JustGiving to enable its supporters to create tribute funds and they send the donations to Woodgreen on a weekly basis so there's nothing you need to do. This way, Woodgreen never has to wait too long to put the money you raise towards helping sick, injured and unwanted pets.
What about security?
Your tribute page is extremely safe. You will be logging into or creating a secure account on JustGiving where you'll create your fundraising page. You can log in at any time to make updates to your fundraising page.
I have not received my confirmation email?
Sometimes the email goes directly to the junk folder so check in there first. If the email isn’t in this folder, please call us on 0300 303 9333 or email at inmemory@woodgreen.org.uk.
My tribute fund is not working?
If you experience any problems with your tribute fund, please email help@justgiving.com and one of the JustGiving Support Team will be able to assist you. Alternatively, you can live chat with a member of the JustGiving Support Team from within your JustGiving account Monday-Saturday, 9am-6pm.
